New Song “Inbetweener”
Out Now
STONE COLD GRACE is the pseudonym of indie folk singer/songwriter Sara Johnson. Compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Patti Griffin and Allegra Krieger, Johnson weaves intricate stories of love, loss and becoming into delicately crafted songs. She resides in Philadelphia and is active in the local music scene there.
Johnson’s newest single, “Inbetweener” laments life after school is finished. Johnson describes it as “...the confusion and loss that the transition between college and the real world brings. After years of building towards one goal, all of a sudden you’ve crossed the finish line. There are a million choices to be made, but you’ve never felt more directionless.” Imploring lyrics hang over a moaning guitar, representing rising dread or uncertainty, and the song builds to a simple un-conclusion—what do I do now?
